Afro Cuban Jazz and Comraderie

Dear members and friends of MCSCA:

The Madison-Camaguey Sister City Association and the Wisconsin Medical Project invite you to a fundraiser to benefit victims of Hurricane Ike in our sister city of Camaguey, Cuba.

Please join us this Friday, September 19 from 5 to 8 pm, at the Cardinal Bar, 418 East Wilson Street, in Madison for an evening of Afro Cuban jazz and camaraderie.

The Tony Castaneda Latin Jazz Band will play one long accoustic set starting at 6 pm. This event will be the first of many in our efforts here in Madison to raise money to be used to send containers with medical supplies and equipment to Camaguey.

As of this writing, eight days after Hurricane Ike caused severe devastation in Camaguey, many people are without electricity or running water. There are already reports of illnesses which make our assistance more imperative.

Please join us at the Cardinal this Friday or send your tax-deductible contributions to: Wisconsin Medical Project, c/o MCSCA, P. O. Box 608, Madison, WI 53701.

Suggested donation: $20. Students: $5.
