Ricardo Gonzalez to receive the 2011 Martin Luther King Heritage Award

The Governor’s 2011 Martin Luther King, Jr., Heritage Award will be presented to Ricardo Gonzalez, at the State Capitol on Monday, January 17 at 12 Noon. This event will be carried live on Wisconsin Public Radio and TV. The award is in acknowledgement of “his past and continued work for social justice, community service and accomplishments as a well-respected and deserving public figure.” (Oscar Mireles, Chair, MLK 2011 State Planning Group). The other recipient will be our good friend Judge Paul Higginbotham, making this event even more special.

The Madison-Camagüey Sister City Association and the Wisconsin Medical Project invite you to a benefit to support their continued humanitarian work in Cuba.  Please join us  for a social evening of wine and hors d’oevres.  The silent auction will include Cuban art and photography, gift certificates and much more.
