National Workshop of Cinema Theory.

Dedicated to the 50th anniversary of ICAIC and the imprint of the 60s on Cuban cinema.

Theme: “Cuban Cinema of the Sixties”

History of the event.

This annual workshop began in 1993 out of a need for an exchange of ideas and growth for cinema critics in the country, at the same time serving as a framework for the city of Camagüey to present these to its broad audience.

The workshop has become the most important forum for cinema theory in the country and one of the most popular and best established events among the Camagüeyanos.

This event features important representatives of the critical goings on of the country as well as an important group of personalities from the local cultural scene — writers, critics, journalists, artists, musicians, set designers and various exponents of the academic life in the region.

The workshop is well known for the development of cultural and cinematic thought in the nation.

Taller Nacional de Crítica Cinematográfica
Dedicado al 50 Aniversario del ICAIC y a la impronta del Cine Cubano de los años ´60.

TEMA: “CINE CUBANO DE LOS SESENTA”

Antecedentes:

Surge en 1993 como una necesidad de intercambio y superación y los críticos del cines del país, a la vez que sirviera de marco para que la ciudad de Camagüey presentara a su amplia familia acceder a ellos en sus ediciones.

El Taller de Crítica ha devenido en el más importante forum teórico de cine en el país y es uno de los eventos de mayor arraigo popular entre los camagüeyanos.

Este evento cuenta con valiosos representantes del quehacer crítico de todo el país y un importante grupo de personalidades de la cultura local, escritores, críticos, periodistas, artistas de la plástica, músicos, artistas escénicos y diferentes exponentes de la vida académica del territorio.

Este taller tiene una gran connotación para el desarrollo del pensamiento cultural cinematográfico de la nación.
