Dedicated to the 50th anniversary of ICAIC and the imprint of the 60s on Cuban cinema.

Theme: “Cuban Cinema of the Sixties”

History of the event.

This annual workshop began in 1993 out of a need for an exchange of ideas and growth for cinema critics in the country, at the same time serving as a framework for the city of Camagüey to present these to its broad audience.

Al rebufo de España, y cuando Estados Unidos empieza a replantearse su política hacia Cuba, pasito a pasito Europa se acerca a La Habana. Hace una semana fue el viaje del canciller de Irlanda, Michael Martin. Ahora es el ex ministro socialista francés Jack Lang quien se encuentra de visita en Cuba como “emisario especial” del presidente Nicolas Sarkozy para reactivar el diálogo con las autoridades de la isla.

Raul Castro’s programme of reforms has been hit by three hurricanes and the global economic crisis.

But there has been success in foreign policy, ending the island’s international isolation.
